Brighton Book Festival 2026 (5th Anniversary Edition)
The Brighton Book Festival returns for its fifth year, continuing its mission of making the marginalised mainstream through bold, brilliant, and inclusive storytelling. Taking place over five days in June, the festival features a series of over 20 events celebrating literature, authors, and the power of books to inspire, educate, and entertain. The 2026 edition features a star-studded line-up including headline author Zadie Smith presenting her new essay collection "Dead and Alive," alongside other acclaimed writers and thinkers who will engage audiences in thought-provoking discussions and intimate conversations.
The festival covers diverse genres and themes including horror, women's bodies, crime and romantasy, as well as activism, social justice, and amplifying refugee voices. Events are held across multiple venues throughout Brighton and Hove, ensuring accessibility and creating a vibrant literary atmosphere across the city. The festival has established itself as a platform for diverse voices and stories often underrepresented in mainstream literary spaces.
Festival passes are available with Full Festival Passes priced at £70.00, offering access to all events across the five days. Attendees can subscribe to the mailing list to stay updated on all pop-up events and author announcements. Brighton Book Festival 2026 promises an inclusive celebration of literature that reflects contemporary voices and perspectives, with something for every reader and book lover
