Taste of the Caribbean Food & Drink Festival returns to Hove Park as Europe's largest and UK's biggest outdoor food festival dedicated to Caribbean cuisine. This vibrant day-long celebration brings together authentic Caribbean street food vendors, live music performances, and family-friendly entertainment representing cuisines and cultures from across the Caribbean islands. Over 50 variations of Caribbean dishes including vegan options will be served by the UK's best restaurants and street food traders. Menu highlights include jerk chicken and pork, ackee and saltfish, oxtail, curry chicken and goat, brown stew chicken, plantain, BBQ chicken, roti, a variety of fresh fish, fried dumplings, festivals, lobster, crab, doubles, rice and peas, and vegan versions of favorite Caribbean dishes.
The festival features a vibrant live music stage with performances from The Marley Experience (Bob Marley & The Wailers tribute band), UB4D (UB40 tribute band), Dem Boyz (acclaimed Caribbean party band from Barbados), and carnival steel pan bands. Entertainment is hosted by Kat from MTV Base with DJ CeeSix providing music throughout the day. Live cooking demonstrations from celebrity and local chefs including MasterChef personality Richard Blackwood showcase traditional and innovative Caribbean cooking techniques. Eating competitions, market stalls selling books, jewelry, cosmetics, clothes, sunglasses, kids toys, and greeting cards add to the festive atmosphere.
Family-friendly features include free entry for children under 14 with a paying adult, children's areas with free activities and games, face painting, circus skills, puppet shows, bouncy castles, dessert and sweet stalls, and funfair rides. Standard admission tickets are £15.00 for adults, with VIP fast-track entry packages at £35.00 offering exclusive seating, private toilets, premium bar and food access, and complimentary rum punch. Free carer entry is available for visitors requiring assistance. All activities and performers are subject to weather conditions, and food and beverages must be purchased separately from the event
